Bio

Colleen McCaffrey has completed her first season on the Bryant staff in 2022.

McCaffrey helped lead the Bulldogs to one of their best seasons in D-I history in her first season, as the Bulldogs won a share of the NEC regular season title and advanced to the conference championship game. She coached nine All-NEC performers, the NEC Offensive Player of the Year, and the NEC Rookie of the Year.

McCaffrey comes to Smithfield after five seasons as the offensive coordinator for the University of Virginia womens’ lacrosse team. During her tenure, she helped coach the Cavaliers to a 50-38 record and coached two All-Americans as well as an ACC Freshman of the Year. Prior to UVA, she spent four seasons as an assistant coach at American University.

McCaffrey graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2012 with a degree in psychology. She was a two time IWLCA All-Mid Atlantic first team selection and ranks in the top ten in Blue Jays program history in career goals, free position goals, draw controls, and points. She was also a three time Academic Honor Roll selection.
