Rowing Claims First Division I Victory at Assumption

WORCESTER, Mass.- The Bryant women's rowing team picked up their first race win in program history on Saturday, taking first in the varsity 8+ class at the Assumption Invite in Worcester. The winning boat finished the Lake Quinsigamond course with a time of 7:39.36.

The lineup of Gabi Martino, Erin Prouty, Megan Hart, Mollie Lytje, Jordan Grady, Lucy Burke, Olivia Manual, Sunny Kuechle, and Lauren Barry helmed the V8+ boat to victory, finishing 22.5 seconds ahead of second place Franklin Pierce.

The Bulldogs also placed second in the varsity 4+ class, running an 8:47.5, 18.3 seconds behind FPU. Manual, Lytje, Kristia King, Bridget Moore, and Aine MacIntyre piloted the boat across the line.

Bryant will be back in action this weekend when they face off against LIU in Port Washington, N.Y.
