WOMEN'S SOCCER EDGED IN DOUBLE OVERTIME AT QUINNIPIAC, 1-0

HAMDEN, Conn. - The Bryant women's soccer team falls to 0-2 in the Northeast Conference and 2-7 overall after losing in double overtime on a goal scored in the 102nd minute at Quinnipiac on Sunday.

Quinnipiac (2-5-1) sophomore Kristina Del Mistro, the younger sister of Bryant junior Steph Del Mistro (East Williston, N.Y.), set up a give and go with freshman Jillian Strassner in the 102nd minute to assist on the game winning goal. Strassner sent a pass to Del Mistro who gave it right back and the freshman was able to drill the ball in the right corner of the net for the game winner.

Bulldog keeper Kelsi Jacob (Mahwah, N.J.) recorded a career high 10 saves in the game as the Bulldogs were outshot 23-17.

The team is back in action next weekend when it returns home for two games, first on Friday, Oct. 9 when it hosts Monmouth at 7 p.m. at the Bryant Turf Complex and next on Sunday Oct. 11 when it faces off with Mount St. Mary's at 1 p.m. Both games are against NEC opponents.
