McNeil named Defensive Player of the Week

SOMERSET, N.J. - Kathryn McNeil of the Bryant University women's soccer team has been named the Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Week by the organization this afternoon.

McNeil recorded two shutouts, and nine saves total in the Bulldog's wins over Merrimack and Fairleigh Dickinson. McNeil now has four shutouts this season, which ranks third in the conference. She also has a save percentage of .814, which is the best in the NEC. This is McNeil's second time this season earning Defensive Player of the Week.

Katie Cronin earned the title of NEC Prime Performer. Cronin scored the game-winning goal in the 1-0 double-overtime victory against Merrimack. Cronin now has six goals this season, which is a career-high and ranks fourth in the NEC.
