Negron named AE Defensive Player of the Week

BOSTON - Sophomore goalkeeper Selena Negron of the Bryant University Women's soccer team was named the America East Defensive Player of the Week by the organization on Monday afternoon.

Negron posted eight saves over 9 scoreless minutes in goal for the Bulldogs. The Easthampton, Massachusetts native recorded her first career win in a 1-0 contest at Rhode Island and then made a career high five saves in a 0-0 draw against Stony Brook.

This is the first player of the week honor of Negron's career.

The Black and Gold are back in action on Sunday at Holy Cross.
