WORCESTER, Mass. - The Bryant University women's soccer team suffered a 2-1 loss against Holy Cross on Sunday afternoon.

"We were a bit off with our attacking throughout the day, but managed to take the lead from a well worked corner kick. Our lack of possession forced us to defend for much of the second half and we were not able to hold them off in the final 10 minutes."

  • 23rd minute - Bryant 1, Holy Cross 0 - Mikayla Griffin played a short corner to Catherine Bean. Bean then played the ball back to Griffin who crossed the ball into the box. The ball then ricocheted off a Holy Cross defender.
  • 81st minute - Bryant 1, Holy Cross 1 - Cerys Balmer volleyed a corner kick service from Ellie Zern.
  • 84th minute - Bryant 1, Holy Cross 2 - Olivia Perez slotted a low cross from Ellie Zern just out of keeper Selena Negron's reach.

  • Jordyn Collin led Bryant with three shots while both Colleen Ardolino and Madison Luke registered a shot on goal.
  • Kathryn McNeil and Selena Negron split time in goal. McNeil registered three saves and Negron had four.
