Zaslaw earns Rookie of the Week honors

BOSTON - On Monday afternoon the America East announced freshman Samantha Zaslaw as the conference's Rookie of the Week.

Zaslaw scored her first two career goals in Bryant's 5-2 midweek win over Chicago State. Her first goal ended up being the game-winning goal while her second goal provided the Bulldogs with valuable insurance in the game. 

This is Zaslaw's first weekly honor of her Black and Gold career. Bryant has had three weekly honors previously this season. Fellow freshman Ashley Cunningham also won Rookie of the Week in Week 7. Sophomore Selena Negron won the defensive honor in Week 1 and junior Samantha Breton earned the defensive honor in Week 4.

Zaslaw and the Bulldogs will be back in action to fight for a playoff spot on Thursday (Oct. 26th) in a 7:00 pm conference matchup against UMass Lowell.
