Frye sets record as Bulldogs down Iona
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Senior Kailey Frye (Lakeville, Mass.) set a school record in the 3 meter dive to lead the Bryant University women's swimming and diving team to a 199-93 victory over Iona on Saturday morning.
With the victory, the Bulldogs earned their second-straight dual meet win this season.
Frye set the school record in the 3 meter dive with a point total of 186.60. She finished first in the event and went on to win the 1 meter dive with a score of 174.05.
Top Performers
Freshman Nicole Salzano (Elmwood Park, N.J.) won the 100 back (1:00.02), finished second in the 500 free (5:19.12) and second in the 1000 free (10:57.15).
Julia Messina (Canandaigua, N.Y.) won the 100 breast (1:09.07) and finished second in the 200 breast (2:33.82).
Taylor Poliseno (Stevenson Ranch, Calif.) won the 100 (59.40) and 200 (2:12.74) fly.
Dana Yu (Bridgewater, N.J.) won the 50 free (25.33).
Mara Valenzuela (Bridgewater, N.J.) won the 100 free (54.60) and finished second in the 200 free (1:58.42).
Valeria Watson (Mexico City, Mexico) won the 200 back (2:09.58) and finished second in the 200 IM (2:15.23).
Salzano, Alexandra Morreale (Short Hills, N.J.), Poliseno and Yu combined to win the 200 medley relay (1:51.53).
Valenzuela, Yu, Mackenzie Kirk (San Jose, Calif.) and Watson combined to win the 400 free relay (3:41.64).
