As a junior: Earned three first-place finishes and 14 top-three finishes during the 2016-17 season ... Finished 11th in the 500 free, 11th in the 200 free and 14th in the 200 back at the NEC Championships.

As a sophomore: Put together another solid season for the Bulldogs in 2015-16 ... Competed in eight different event and won events in four different ones ... Finished seventh in the 500 free (5:05.03), eighth in the 200 back (2:05.77) and 12th in the 200 free (1:53.93) in the NEC Championships ... Also a member of the 800 free relay team that won a bronze medal at the NECs ... Won three events against Iona.

As a freshman: Emerged as one of the best young swimmers in the NEC in 2014-15 ... Helped the 800 free relay team earn a bronze medal at the NEC Championships ... Finished fifth in the 200 back with a season-best time of 2:03.76 at the championships ... Finished 10th in both the 200 and 500 free with season-best times of 1:53.72 and 5:04.70 ... Also swam the 1000 free, 100 back, 400 free, 200 IM, 1650 free, 100 free and 50 back ... Posted seven first-place finishes on the year.

Before Bryant: Outstanding youth swimmer that graduated from American School Foundation ... A youth national champion in the 100 and 200 back in 2014 ... An age group national finalist and subchampion in the 100 and 200 back.

Personal: The daughter of Alejandra and Antonio Watson, Valeria Watson was born on Oct. 5, 1995 ... Has two sisters, Paulina and Victoria.
