Rice named NEC Swimmer of the Week

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University women's swimming and diving sophomore Jillian Rice (Trumbull, Conn.) has been named the Northeast Conference Swimmer of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.

Rice picked up four individual victories against Holy Cross and Boston University over the weekend. She won the 50 free (25.18), the 100 free (53.34) and the 200 free (1:56.49) as Bryant cruised past the Crusaders on Saturday. On Sunday, Rice won the 100 free (53.68) and was beaten by just 0.08 seconds in the 50 free.
