Women's Swimming Picked First in NEC Poll

SOMERSET, N.J.- The Bryant women's Swimming and Diving team has earned the top ranking in the NEC preseason poll. The results were announced Tuesday.

The Bulldogs received seven first place votes. Central Connecticut State is ranked second with three first place votes, followed by Long Island with the third place pick. The rest of the poll features Wagner in fourth, followed by Sacred Heart, Saint Francis (PA), Howard, Saint Francis (Brooklyn), Mount Saint Mary's, and Merrimack.

The Bulldogs are the defending conference champions, as they picked up their fourth straight conference crown in the 2020-21 season. The team earned 18 total medals at last year's NEC Championships, with rookie of the meet Julia Stenhård and double gold medalist Kyri Chambo both returning this season.

The Bulldogs open the season October 22 with a dual meet at Providence College.
