Beasley earns AE Female Diver of the Week

BOSTON - Freshman Megan Beasley of the Bryant University swimming & diving team was named the America East Female Diver of the Week by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.

Beasley set two new program records against Boston University this past weekend. The England native dove to a 300.53 for second in the 1 meter and a 284.10 for third in the 3 meter. She took down the previous records of 281.25 in the 1m and 279.85 in the 3m. Beasley's scores also qualified her for the NCAA DI Diving Championships.

This is Beasley's first weekly honor of the season and of her career. The diving program swept the weekly awards for the first time this season as well with Christopher Buonocore of the men's team winning as well.

Beasley and the Bryant squad hit the pool again Feb.14-17th when they travel to VMI to compete in the America East Championships.
