BRYANT WOMEN’S TENNIS FALLS TO FAIRFIELD 6-1

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women’s tennis team dropped a 6-1 nonconference match to visiting Fairfield University Thursday afternoon at the Bryant tennis courts.
The Bulldogs got a strong performance from Claudia Hidalgo against the Stags.
Hidalgo teamed up with Valeria Couto Cuervo to earn an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles to start the match. She would later earn Bryant’s lone point in singles play.
After dropping the first set, 6-4 to Dana Postupack, Hidalgo came back to win the match 6-1, 6-1.
The Bulldogs host Navy next Saturday at 11 am.
