Bulldogs split Sunday matches, beat FDU 6-1
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's tennis team split a pair of matches on Sunday, falling to Boston College, 5-0, before earning a 6-1 win over Fairleigh Dickinson.
With the win over FDU, the Black and Gold evened their Northeast Conference record at 1-1.

- Only four singles matches were completed, with the Eagles winning at 3, 4, 5 and 6. Redshirt freshman Megan Tan (Calgary, Alberta) battled at No. 4, falling 6-3, 6-3.
How it Happened (Doubles – FDU)
- Bryant swept the doubles point, winning at No. 1 and No. 2. Seniors Ashanti Campfield (Stratford, Conn.) and Stefanie Arroyo (Gurabo, Puerto Rico) won 6-2, while their classmates Nina Luiggi (Nottingham, England) and Linnea Sjoberg (Stockholm, Sweden) won 6-1.
How it Happened (Singles – FDU)
- Bryant won four of the five matches that were contested. The Bulldogs won by default at No. 6 singles because FDU was down a player.
- Campfield, Sjoberg, Luiggi and freshman Arianna Oropeza (Weston, Fla.) all picked up singles victories.
