Boru, Hickey head to ITA Northeast Regionals

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's tennis team will send two players to the ITA Northeast Regionals that begin on Thursday at Yale University.  

Bulldogs at the ITAs

• Bryant will send a pair of freshmen, Yasemin Boru (Boca Raton, Fla.) and Sarah Hickey (Toronto, Ont.), to the event.
• Boru will compete in the singles main draw, while Hickey will play in the singles qualifier.
• The duo will team up and play in the doubles main draw.
• Boru claimed the consolation title in the A flight at the Quinnipiac Invitational, while Hickey went 1-1 in the A flight in the same tournament.
• Hickey also picked up a win in the A flight of the Army Invitational.
• As a doubles team, Boru and Hickey went 1-1 at the Army Invitational.

ITA History

• Linnea Sjoberg and Ryan Brown are the only Bulldogs to win a match at the ITA Northeast Regionals in DI program history.
