Bulldogs close fall with 6-1 win over UC Irvine

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's tennis team wrapped up the fall season with a convincing 6-1 victory over UC Irvine on Friday afternoon at the Bryant Tennis Courts.

Coach Cilli's Comments

"It was great hosting UC Irvine today, but unfortunate that they weren't able to field a full team due to injuries. Despite that setback they showed up to play and threw challenges at us that took us out of our comfort zone in singles. Overall, I was glad we made the adjustments we needed to to be successful today. Now we take what we learned from the matches this semester and prep ourselves for the spring season."

How it Happened

  • The Bulldogs won both doubles matches and then were able to win three of the four singles matches that were contested.
  • UC Irvine only had four players available, making the No. 5 and No. 6 singles spots default victories for the Black and Gold.
