Bulldogs split weekend with LIU, Fairfield

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Bryant University women's tennis team split a pair of matches over the weekend, falling to Long Island before defeating Fairfield.

Bryant lost to LIU, 5-2, and rebounded to beat the Stags, 5-2.

How It Happened (LIU)

  • Bryant claimed the doubles point with a win at No. 1 and No. 3. Ada Boru and Leanne Kendall won at 1, 7-5. Arianna Oropeza and Olivia Rondini earned a hard-fought 7-6 win at 3 to clinch the point.
  • LIU claimed the match with five singles victories. 
  • Rondini posted Bryant's lone singles victory, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4.
