Munson named NEC Rookie of the Week

SOMERSET, N.J. -- Bryant University women's tennis freshman Caitlyn Munson was named the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week on Thursday. 

Munson was perfect on the week, winning both her #3 singles matches and #3 doubles outings teaming with Olivia Rondini. She defeated FDU's Smriti Singh, 6-3, 6-3, on Saturday, and followed with a 6-3, 6-4 conquest of Fairfield's Scarlett Hutchinson the following afternoon. Munson has won five straight to lift her singles record to 6-1 on the season. Bryant won both dual matches last week to improve to 5-2 this spring.

In addition, Leanne Kendall was named an #NECPrimePerformer. Kendall won both singles and doubles matches in wins over FDU and Fairfield.
