Bryant edges Siena, 4-3
GREENVILLE, R.I. -- The Bryant University women's tennis team earned a big 4-3 victory over Siena on Saturday night at Rally Point.
The Bulldogs beat the Saints for the third-straight time and are now 5-1 all-time against them. In addition, the Black and Gold have now won their last three matches overall and are 4-1 in the spring.
How it Happened
- Bryant opened with a victory at No. 2 doubles but the Saints marched back, winning at No. 1 and No. 3 to clinch the point.
- The Bulldogs got even with a 6-3, 6-2 victory from Lisa Marie Dugec at No. 5.
- Olivia Rondini then won 6-4, 6-3 at No. 4 and Camila Baeza won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 6 to make it 3-1.
- Caitlyn Munson then clinched the match with a gutsy 6-0, 7-5 victory at No. 3. After cruising in the first set, Munson was up 6-5 in the second set and was able to clinch the match at deuce point.
- The win was crucial as Siena took victories at the top two spots.
