Dugec clinches 4-3 win over Fairfield

CUMBERLAND, R.I. -- The Bryant University women's tennis team earned its second-straight victory, defeating Fairfield 4-3 on Sunday afternoon at Fore Court.

How it Happened

  • Fairfield grabbed the doubles point on Sunday, winning at 2 and 3. Natalia Vela and Caitlyn Munson earned a 6-0 win at No. 1.
  • In singles, the Bulldogs were able to things up with victories from Vela at No. 1, Maria Jose Hernandez Diaz at No. 4 and Munson at No. 5.
  • Diaz and Munson both won in three sets to set up Lisa Marie Dugec for the clinching point.
  • Dugec won the first set 6-1, dropped set two 2-6 but rallied for a 6-2 victory in the third set to clinch the match.
