Bio

Fuertes is experienced and polished as a setter and that will shine as she rejoins the Bulldogs in 2009. Her strength is in her anticipation and reading ability. Combine that with all of her volleyball knowledge and she will go a long way in helping to stabilize the Bryant offense.

In the record books: Fuertes holds the No. 20 spot in single-season assists per set (4.05, 2009) and leaves the program as the 11th-ranked leader in all-time career assists with 520 in just two seasons... Also ranks seventh in career serve percentage (.918).

As a senior: Fuertes returned to the Bulldogs as a senior in 2009 after playing for the Black and Gold as a freshman in 2006... Appeared in all 34 matches, starting in 27... Led the team in assists on the year with 486, averaging 4.05 per set... Chipped in 14 aces and five kills with 149 digs... Recorded a trio of double-doubles, coming against Holy Cross (19 assists, 10 digs), St. Francis (NY) (18a, 10d) and Saint Francis (PA) (25a, 10d)... Collected double-digit helpers in 24-of-34 matches with nine 20+ assist performances... Collected a career-best 35 assists vs. Brown on Sept. 26... Registered four double-digit dig outings, including a career-best 13 against Fairleigh Dickinson.

As a freshman: Appeared in 14 matches, recording 34 sets and 20 digs... Posted a season-best five digs against Stonehill on Sept. 15.

Before Bryant: A 2006 graduate of Academia del Perpetuo Socorro in Miramar, Puerto Rico, Fuertes lettered in volleyball, indoor soccer and outdoor soccer... Member of DECA Business Club and Yearbook... Student body activities coordinator.

Personal: Daughter of Roberto Fuertes and Esther Mudafort, Adriana Fuertes was born March 5, 1988 in San Juan, Puerto Rico... Has one sister, Camelia... Majors in accounting in the College of Business.
