The most relied-upon points scorer for the 2008 Bulldogs, Scocca will be expected to do the same in her sophomore season. Look to see her range of shots and natural blocking ability explode after a year of collegiate experience.

Led the Bulldogs in nearly every offensive category, including kills (406), kills per set (3.22), attack percentage (.277), service aces (38), total blocks (153), solo blocks (17), block assists (136) and points (529)... Recorded a pair of double-doubles, collecting a career-high 15 blocks and 16 kills at Brown on Sept 10 and posting an 11-block, 18-kill performance against the Bears at home on Sept. 26... Turned in a career-high 29 kills against Providence College on Sept. 5, setting a new conference record... Her 15 total blocks and 14 block assists against the Bears set new Bryant program marks for both total blocks and block assists in a single match and also tied an NEC mark set back in 1998... Registered a career-best five aces against St. Francis (NY)... Recorded double-digit kills in 23 contests on the season and collected 20 or more kills three times... Hit at a .300 clip or better in 17 matches... Named the program's first-ever Northeast Conference Player of the Week on Sept. 21... With 103 block assists, Scocca sits at No. 8 in the single-season records, while her 127 total blocks fall into ninth... Set a number of individual match records, including a No. 2 ranking in block assists and total blocks in a match (9a, 12tb at Dartmouth, Sept. 27) and a No. 13 ranking in points in a four-set match (28.5 at Dartmouth)... Earned an all-tournament selection at the Dartmouth Tournament... Was tied for second in service aces (29) and had 67 digs on the year... Recorded first career double-double with 21-kill, 12-block outing against Dartmouth on Sept. 27... Earned an NEC All-Academic Honor Roll selection.

Before Bryant: A 2008 graduate of Arlington Catholic, Scocca was a three-year starter for the Cougars... Led team to fifth-straight league title and Mass. Div. 2 semifinals... Earned all-league and all-state honors in 2006 and 2007... Team captain as a senior... Boston Globe All-Scholastic Team selection and D2 Player of the Year as a senior...
