TRIO OF BULLDOGS RECORD DOUBLE-DIGIT KILLS IN 3-0 WIN OVER ST. FRANCIS (NY)

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Bryant University volleyball team snapped a five-game losing streak with a 3-0 win over St. Francis (NY) Saturday afternoon on the road.

A trio of Bulldogs (11-22, 6-8 Northeast Conference) recorded double-digit kills on the day, led by 12 from sophomore Maria Scocca (Melrose, Mass.). Sophomore Jazmin Stoner (Durango, Colo.) and freshman Macy Mitravich (Waimanalo, Hawaii) each collected 11.

Rookie Jadith Lorenzo (Lawrence, Mass.) dished out 35 assists to lead the game, also chipping in a team-best seven digs, tied with junior libero Robyn Gardner (Longwood, Fla.). Bryant got the win in straight sets, 25-21, 25-16 and 27-25.

Anisa Lila paced the Terriers (4-21, 3-12) with eight kills.

Bryant returns to the court for its 2009 season finale, Sunday, Nov. 15 with a 12 p.m. matchup against Long Island University.
