SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- For the third time this season, Bryant University volleyball freshman Natascha Scarff (Geneva, Switzerland) has been named the Molten/NEC Rookie of the Week.

Scarff, who was also named ECAC Rookie of the Week, paced the Bulldog offense with 51 kills on the 1-2 week, averaging 3.64 kills per set with a .245 attack percentage. She recorded a pair of double-doubles, posting a career-high 20 kills in a 3-2 road win over Holy Cross (12 digs) and followed it up with a match-high 18 kills and 10 digs despite a loss at Saint Francis U. Saturday.

Scarff went on to record a match-best 13 kills Sunday in a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Robert Morris on the road, also recording nine digs. She added three blocks on the week with a .967 reception percentage in 61 attempts.

On the season, Scarff now has nine double-doubles and this week passed the 200-kill mark on the 2014 campaign. She currently ranks third on the team in kills (201), second in kills per set (2.61), fourth in digs (231) and third in aces (17) despite missing the first 10 matches of the year.

Wednesday, Scarff also earned her first-career ECAC Rookie of the Week accolade.

The Bulldogs return to action Saturday and Sunday, hosting LIU Brooklyn (1 p.m.) and St. Francis Brooklyn (1 p.m.), respectively, to wrap up the home portion of the 2014 regular-season schedule.
