Vendituoli earns Weekly honors in the NEC

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University volleyball junior libero Erica Vendituoli (Nashua, N.H.) has been named the Molten/Northeast Conference Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Vendituoli helped the Bulldogs to a 2-2 record last week. She averaged 4.64 digs per set as the Bulldogs defeated New Hampshire and Manhattan. Named to the All-Tournament team at the Columbia Classic over the weekend, Vendituoli posted 56 digs and averaged 5.09 digs per set. The Nashua, N.H., native collected a career-high 21 digs against Southern Illinois Edwardsville, 20 against Columbia and 15 more in a 3-0 win over Manhattan to wrap up tournament play. The junior is averaging 3.15 digs per set on the season.

The Bulldogs continue their road trek to close out September when they take on Holy Cross tomorrow for a 7:00 p.m. start.
