Vendituoli named Molten/NEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Following a weekend sweep of LIU Brooklyn and St. Francis Brooklyn to secure the Bulldogs' second-straight NEC Tournament berth, Bryant University volleyball junior libero Erica Vendituoli (Nashua, N.H.) has been named the Molten/NEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week.

Now a two-time Molten/NEC Defensive Player of the Week award winner, Vendituoli was a big force in Bryant's sweep, recording 15 digs in each match to average 5.00 digs per set. The Nashua, N.H., product also recorded a .981 reception percentage with just one error in 52 attempts. Vendituoli's 15-dig outings both marked match highs, and the junior currently ranks fourth in conference play with 4.65 digs per set. She is fifth overall with 3.96 per set.

The Bulldogs wrap up regular-season action Saturday and Sunday, as they battle for postseason seeding with matches against Sacred Heart and FDU.
