NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – The Bryant University volleyball team begins the second half of Northeast Conference play with a Friday night match at Central Connecticut.

Series History vs. Central Connecticut
The Bulldogs are 5-12 against the Blue Devils since joining Division I but 4-1 since the start of 2015. Bryant took a four-set decision in Smithfield Sept. 29. Junior Julia Flynn (Pembroke, Mass.) had a match-high 17 kills and junior Grace Richmeyer (DeSoto, Mo.) added a career-high 10 blocks in the win.

  • Bryant is 15-9 on the year and 13-3 since Sept. 8. The Bulldogs lead the NEC at 6-1, one match ahead of Central Connecticut and LIU Brooklyn.
  • The Bulldogs went 1-1 last weekend with a sweep of Robert Morris and a five-set defeat to Saint Francis U.

A Bit About Central Connecticut
The Blue Devils are 12-6 on the year and 5-2 in the NEC. Central Connecticut has won four straight matches and is one match behind Bryant for first place in the conference. Raquel Quirarte leads the Blue Devils with 2.70 kills per set while Madelyn Kaprelyan has added 2.48. Maddie Smith leads the NEC with a .398 hitting percentage and 1.37 blocks per set.
