Bryant Visits Merrimack Friday

NORTH ANDOVER, MA. - The Bryant women's volleyball team travels for their second meeting of the season with Merrimack on Friday. The Bulldogs swept the Warriors back on October 8 in Smithfield.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Alysa Wright is the reigning NEC co-Defensive Player of the Week after registering 13 total blocks against Fairleigh Dickinson and Saint Francis. Her 93 total blocks lead the NEC, and her 1.13 blocks per set are second in the conference.

  • Riley James and Caroline Kennedy both recently surpassed the 200 kill mark for the season. They are two of six NEC players to reach that number so far, as they sit fifth and sixth respectively on the total kills leaderboard.

  • Wright and Kennedy are also on the brink of personal milestones, with both just shy of 200 career blocks. Wright is sitting at 198 career rejections, while Kennedy is at 199.

Merrimack Preview: Scouting the Warriors

 

  • Merrimack is 0-22 (0-7 NEC) this season.

  • Player to Watch: Senior outside hitter Brooke Leestma had six kills, an ace, and a block against Bryant on Oct. 8. She leads the Warriors in kills and digs for the season.

  • Bryant swept Merrimack 3-0 in their previous matchup this season. It was their 17th consecutive win over the Warriors.
