Coach Garlacy Welcomes Three to Volleyball Class of 2026

SMITHFIELD, R.I.- Bryant volleyball coach Theresa Garlacy is excited to welcome three members in the recruiting class of 2026.

Coach Garlacy: "This class brings not just talent and experience to Bryant, but also represents varied backgrounds and cultures. All three are top performers academically and will relish the challenge the Bryant curriculum offers."

Ana Fuertes | RS/OPP | Guaynabo, P.R. | Academia Maria Reina

Before Bryant: Four year member of school's volleyball team… Team MVP in 2018… Won tournament MVP's at five invitational tournaments… Helped lead team to three top three finishes in league play and a top 16 and top eight finish at national tournament… Also a member of multiple Puerto Rican junior national teams... Won bronze at 2021 U23 Pan-American Games and competed at the 2021 U18 World Championships... Was teammates with current Bulldog Carolina Camacho on previous Puerto Rican national teams... Also played basketball in high school.

Personal: Daughter of Alberto Fuertes and Ana Rosa Brito… Has one sibling, Alberto.

Before Bryant: Three year member of school's volleyball team… Compiled 122 total blocks in her career, including 47 solos… Also had 137 career kills and a .336 attack percentage… Was named to the all-district 1st team… Was a 4x academic all-district selection… Helped lead team to a district championship.

Personal: Daughter of Jacqueline Davis.

Melis Isik | Setter | Karisyaka, Izmir, Turkey | Ugur College

Before Bryant: Plays for the Arkas club volleyball team… Was a four year team captain… Helped team to a 9th place finish at Turkish U16 championships and a 3rd place in the Izmir U16 rankings.

Personal: Daughter of Turan Isik… Has one sibling, Selin, who plays volleyball at North Alabama University.
