SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Bryant University volleyball team wrapped up another exciting spring semester on the court and in the community.

Bryant once again partnered with Special Olympics Rhode Island, hosting upwards of 100 athletes every Wednesday night during the semester. Last weekend, as part of a campus-wide event, the volleyball program handed out medals following a fun and exciting day of competition.

The celebration included an official lighting of the torch and a competitive day of contests. Bryant volleyball head coach Theresa Garlacy and the Bulldogs have partnered with Special Olympics Rhode Island for the last 26 years.
