Wright, Cergol Earn America East Weekly Awards

BOSTON, Mass.- Seniors Alysa Wright and Mia Cergol earned weekly honors from the America East after leading the team to sweeps of UAlbany and New Hampshire over the weekend. Wright was named Player of the Week, while Cergol was named Setter of the Week.

Wright hit .534 across this weekend's matches, totaling 23 kills on 35 attempts with just four attack errors. She also contributed eight blocks and three aces in the Bulldogs' sweeps over the Great Danes and Wildcats. Her performance raised her season attack percentage to .312, the third-highest mark in the conference.

Cergol totaled 76 assists (12.6 per set) this weekend, adding five kills, four aces, and a block. She ranks fifth in America East with 427 total assists and 5.93 per set.

Both Wright and Cergol earned their first weekly awards since joining America East. Both were NEC weekly award winners in previous seasons. The Bulldogs will be back in action this weekend when they travel to Binghamton on Friday evening.
