Wright, Cergol Earn AE Weekly Awards for Second Time

BOSTON, Mass.- Seniors Alysa Wright and Mia Cergol each brought home America East awards for the second time in the past three weeks, announced by the conference Tuesday. Wright earned her second Player of the Week award while Cergol was once again named Setter of the Week.

Wright dominated in three matches for the Bulldogs, posting 34 kills, 18 blocks, and a .389 attack percentage in wins over Central Connecticut, NJIT, and UAlbany, including career highs in kills and points against the Great Danes. She ranks third in the league in attack percentage (.313), fifth in blocks (91 total, 1.07/set), and sixth in total points (267.5, 3.15/set).

Cergol totaled 133 assists in Bryant's three wins, including a season-high 51 against UAlbany. She added 27 digs, twelve kills, four aces, and three blocks and posted her tenth double-double of the year against CCSU. Her 585 total assists and 6.72 assists per set are fifth in the America East this season.

Both will be back in action when Bryant hosts Merrimack on Wednesday evening in the Chace Center, with first serve set for 7:00 pm.
