Bulldogs Hosting Merrimack Wednesday Night

SMITHFIELD, R.I.- The Bryant women's volleyball team will return home Wednesday when they host Merrimack in the Chace Athletic Center. The Bulldogs will be looking to extend their three-match win streak against their former NEC rivals.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Alysa Wright was named America East Player of the Week for the second time this month after posting 34 kills, 18 blocks, and a .389 attack percentage in her last three matches.

  • Mia Cergol also earned her second AE Setter of the Week honor of October. She recorded 133 assists, 27 digs, four aces, and twelve kills in the team's 3-0 week.

  • Josie Deluga was a defensive anchor in the Bulldogs' 3-1 win over UAlbany on Sunday. She finished with a season-high 17 digs while playing the final three sets at libero.

Scouting the Warriors

  • Merrimack comes into the match 4-15 overall and 2-6 in the NEC. Their last win came October 7 against St. Francis Brooklyn.

  • Player to Watch: Sophomore right side Sydney Green leads the team with 141 kills, 31 blocks, and 163 total points.

  • Bryant is 41-1 all-time against the Merrimack, including sweeps in each of the six matches since the Warriors joined Division I.
