Bulldogs Visit UNH Looking to Clinch AE Playoff Berth

DURHAM, N.H.- The Bryant women's volleyball team is hitting the road for a Sunday matchup with New Hampshire, with the chance to clinch a playoff spot on the line. A Bulldog victory over the Wildcats would put Bryant into the America East Tournament in their first season in the conference.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Alysa Wright enters the weekend third in the conference with a .321 attack percentage and fifth with 1.07 blocks per set. She is the only player in America East to record 200 total kills, 90 total blocks, and 20 total aces so far this season.

  • Mia Cergol's fifteen assists against Merrimack gave her an even 600 on the season. She ranks fifth in the conference with 6.74 per set.

  • The Bulldogs have won four matches in a row, tying their longest streak of the season. A five-match win streak would be their longest since a 9-0 run from October 5 to November 6 of last year.

Scouting the Wildcats

  • UNH is 14-9 overall this season and tied for fourth in America East at 2-4. Their last conference match was a 3-2 loss to UMBC.

  • Player to Watch: Freshman middle blocker Kara Oxenknecht ranks fifth in the conference with a .284 attack percentage and sixth with 1.04 blocks per set. She has twice been named AE Rookie of the Week this year.

  • Bryant defeated UNH 3-0 on October 9 in Smithfield. Alysa Wright and Haley O'Brien combined for 23 kills, five blocks, and a .588 attack percentage in the win.
