SMITHFIELD, R.I.- The Bryant women's volleyball team will return to conference play this weekend when they face off against #1 Seed UMBC at Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena.

Series History:

  • After falling to UMBC in three sets earlier this season, Bryant is now 1-4 against UMBC. They will be looking to pick their first program win on the road as they are currently 0-1 when playing them away and 0-2 at a neutral site.

  • Arianna Ugolini leads the America East Conference in aces this season (13th in NCAA).

  • Aubrey Lapour has the 2nd most kills in the conference (19th most nationally).

  • Morgan Smith leads the America East with a .360 hitting percentage.

  • Brookelyn Talmadge is now in the Top 5 in the America East for blocks with 61 total on the year.

 

Scouting the Retrievers 

  • UMBC enters Sunday at 10-6 overall and 4-1 in conference play. They most recently defeated Binghamton in three sets on Thursday night.

  • Kamani Conteh is the Retrievers leader in kills this season with 220. (4th best in America East).

  • Michela De Marzi and Mila Ilieva are tied for the team lead in blocks with 60 a piece.

  • Serin Maden leads UMBC in assists with 325.

  • Hannah Howard continues her impressive freshman campaign as she leads the Retrievers with 267 digs this year.
