REILLY NAMED NEC WOMEN'S XC COACH OF THE YEAR

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – After leading the Bryant University women's cross country team to a third-place finish at the Northeast Conference Championships, head coach Stephanie Reilly was named NEC Coach of the Year, the league office announced on Thursday.

In her fifth season with the Bulldogs, Reilly led a pack of Black and Gold runners that registered their best finish at the conference championships since joining the Division I ranks. Under her tutelage this past year, junior Eimear Black (Glengormley, Ireland) became the first Bryant runner to win an NEC championship and freshman Annmarie Tuxbury (New Hartford, Conn.) ran to NEC Rookie of the Year honors. Reilly's squad that also featured All- NEC junior Martha Reynolds (London, England), senior Megan Robertson (Sewell, N.J.) and freshman Erin Svensen (Medway, Mass.), finished 35th at the Northeast Regional Championships last Friday.
