Foley, Tuxbury pace Bulldogs at Nassaney
FOLEY (16th) AND TUXBURY (15th) PACE BULLDOGS
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Junior Francis Foley (Acton, Mass.) finished 16th and sophomore Annmarie Tuxbury (New Hartford, Conn.) finished 15th to pace to the Bryant University cross country team at the Nassaney Invitational on Saturday morning at Bryant University.
On the men's side, Foley led a quartet of runners that all finished in the top 40. He crossed the line in 16:20.5, while Christopher Chapruet (Danvers, Mass.) finished 33rd with a time of 16:51.9. Russell Stevens (Colchester, Conn.) finished 37th (17:00.4) and Richard Landry (Holyoke, Mass.) finished 38th (17:04.8).
For the women, Tuxbury crossed the line with a time of 18:55.7. Martha Reynolds (London, England) finished 18th (19:01.1), Erin Svensen (Medway, Mass.) finished 48th (20:05.1) and Staci Rezendes (Ludlow, Mass.) finished 56th (20:21.7).
The Bulldogs will have two weeks off before competing in the Ted Owen Invitational hosted by Central Connecticut on Saturday, Sept. 21.
