Bryant set for NEICAAA Championship in Boston

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University cross country team is back in action this weekend as they are set to compete against a plethora of New England squads at the NEICAAA Championships. The meet will take place in Boston at Franklin Park.

BULLDOGS NOTES AND NOTABLES

  • Last time out, both the men and the women finished seventh out of 19 teams at the Ted Owens Invitational.
  • Sophomore Jason Dolan (Westford, Mass.) led the men's team finishing 23rd out of 198 runners with a time of 27:27.9.
  • Sophomore Julia Ayres (Collegeville, Pa.) led the women with a new personal-best at Ted Owens. The Pennsylvania native finished under the 20-minute mark with a time of 19:20.5 as she finished 21st out of over 200 competitors.
  • Last season at the NEICAAA Championship, the men finished 21st out of 26 teams while the women finished 24th out of 24 teams.
  • In 2018, Breann Campise (Tolland, Conn.) was the top finisher for the women with a time of 20:41.6 as she finished 132nd.
  • Of the returning men, Dolan led the team one year ago at NEICAAA's with a time of 26:19.8.
