Bryant falls to No. 24 Old Dominion, 1-0

NORFOLK, Va. – The Bryant University baseball team dropped a 1-0 decision to No. 24 Old Dominion on Friday afternoon.

Collin Lowe turned in another solid outing for the Black and Gold, allowing just one run on four hits over 4.2 innings. He struck out five. Brett Wichrowski added five strikeouts over 2.2 scoreless innings of relief and Tommy DiTullio and Stan DeMartinis III reached twice.

How it Happened

  • Bryant was able to work around trouble all afternoon, stranding eight Monarchs on base.
  • ODU, however, strung together back-to-back doubles in the second inning to grab a 1-0 lead.
  • The Bulldogs had one last chance in the ninth as DeMartinis reached with a walk and pinch runner Cole Wojtkowski advanced to second. The Monarchs, however, were able to end the game with a nice scoop at first.
