Harris a Sports Network All-American

HARRIS EARNS SECOND TEAM ALL-AMERICAN HONORS FROM SPORTS NETWORK

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The postseason honors continue to roll in for Bryant University football junior Jordan Harris (Lincoln University, Pa.) as he was named a Second Team All-American by the Sports Network on Monday.

It is the second All-American honor for Harris and gives the Bulldogs a Sports Network All-American for the second consecutive season. Jordan Brown (Glastonbury, Conn.) was a third team selection last season. Harris was one of three players from the NEC that were honored. Robert Morris's Nolan Nearhoof and Duquesne's Dorian Bell were both third team selections.

The Northeast Conference Offensive Player of the Year, Harris put together the greatest receiving season in program history in 2012. He caught 61 passes for 1,243 yards and 15 touchdowns, all of which were single-season program records. Along the way, Harris also became Bryant's all-time leader in career receptions (129), career reception yards (2,704) and career touchdown receptions (26). Harris's highlight-reel season also put him among some of the greatest receivers in NEC history. He became the first wide receiver since Miles Austin in 2005 to record a 1,000-yard season and enters his senior year in need of just 761 receiving yards to become the all-time leader in NEC history. This season, he recorded seven 100-yard games and a pair of 200-yard performances. Harris is the only receiver in program history to record over 200 receiving yards in a game and he has done it three times.
