Harris earns AP All-American honors

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Junior wide receiver Jordan Harris (Lincoln University, Pa.) was named an Associated Press (AP) Second Team All-American on Wednesday. It is the second All-American honor of the week for Harris and the third this postseason.

With the recognition, Harris becomes just the second football player in school history (Lorenzo Perry, 2006) to earn AP All-America honors and is the only Northeast Conference player listed. Harris was named a Sports Network Second Team All-American on Monday and a Beyond Sports College Network Second Team All-American last week.

In 2012, he set program records in receptions (61), receiving yards (1,243) and touchdown receptions (15), and became Bryant's all-time leading receiver in catches (129), receiving yards (2,704) and touchdowns (26). Harris was fourth nationally with 124.3 receiving yards per game and was one of only four players in the country to average over 20 yards per catch (20.38). Harris recorded multiple touchdown receptions in six games on the year, including three-straight against Robert Morris, Monmouth and Sacred Heart. In his career he has recorded 11 100-yard games and three 200-yard games.
