Bulldogs ink 30 on National Signing Day
FOOTBALL SIGNS 30 ON NATIONAL SIGNING DAY
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University head football coach Marty Fine is pleased to announce the signing of 30 players on National Signing Day for the upcoming 2013 season. The Class of 2017 includes players from nine different states, including 17 from New England.
Coach Fine's recruiting class is led by seven wide receivers and six offensive linemen. The class also includes four defensive backs, three quarterbacks, three running backs, three defensive linemen, two tight ends, one linebacker and one defensive end. Fine's recruiting class has features some local flair with two players from Rhode Island.
"We are excited about the 30 young men we are bringing into our program this fall," Fine said. "They fill our needs, but more importantly, they are great people and great students and will be a tremendous addition to the Bryant University community. At this university, we look for leaders and winners, and in this class we have 23 captains and 21 players who have led their teams to championships."
