Harris makes history, signs NFL contract with Indianapolis Colts

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – One of the greatest players in Bryant University football history, Jordan Harris (Lincoln University, Pa.) accomplished another outstanding achievement as he became the first player in program history to sign an NFL contract as he inked a deal with the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday.

Moments after the NFL draft concluded, Harris was contacted by the Colts and signed a contract as undrafted free agent. He will now report to rookie mini camp on Thursday and begin his quest to play on Sundays.

"This is a great opportunity to continute to play a sport that I love," Harris said. "It is truly a dream come true. I want to say thank you for the great support from my parents, coach Fine, coach Engle, Patrick and especially my teammates. I couldn't have done any of this without them.

The most decorated wide receiver in program history, Harris set school records for catches (193), receiving yards (3,735) and touchdown receptions (31). He became the Northeast Conference's all-time leading receiver and is the only player in school history to record back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons.
