Series history: Bryant and Brown will meet for just the third time in program history in week 3. The Bears trounced the Bulldogs, 41-14, in the first game in 2013, but the Black and Gold responded with a 20-16 victory last season in Providence. Last year's win was one of the biggest in program history for Bryant.

The Bulldogs forced five Brown turnovers in the game and took their first lead of the game on a 37-yard touchdown pass from wide receiver Torrey Dixon () to Chad Ward with 24 seconds left in the third quarter. Ward caught eight passes for 180 yards and two scores, while Brandon Dagnesses sealed the victory with an interception in the endzone with 1:09 remaining.

Fun Fact: Bryant's win over Brown last season was the first by a team from the Ocean State since Rhode Island earned a 27-24 overtime victory in 2010. The Bears have since won five-straight against the Rams.

Bryant's campus was originally located down the street from Brown in Providence. The campus moved to Smithfield in 1971 and sold its buildings to Brown.
