Nemerowicz earns Honorable Mention Freshman All-American honors from HERO Sports

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University football freshman Jesse Nemerowicz (Hudson, Mass.) was named a HERO Sports Honorable Mention Freshman All-American, the outlet announced on Wednesday.

Nemerowicz started all 11 games at middle linebacker in 2016, helping the Bulldogs post a 5-6 overall record and a 4-2 mark in Northeast Conference play. He is one of three players from the NEC to earn Freshman All-American honors.

Nemerowicz enjoyed the greatest freshmen season for a player in program history this past fall, leading the team with a freshmen-record 91 tackles. He became just the third player in program history to 90+ tackles in a single season, finishing fourth in the NEC. Nemerowicz posted 10+ tackles in three games, including a freshmen program-record 14 against Maine. In all, he posted six or more tackles in each of the final 10 games of the season.
