Andreessen added to Buck Buchanan Watch List
SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Bryant University football senior Joe Andreessen has been added to the FCS Buck Buchanan Award Watch List.
Andreessen becomes the fourth Bulldog to appear on the watch list, joining Tomas Wright, Thomas Costigan and Jeff Covitz. The Buck Buchanan Award is given to the best defensive player in the FCS.
Bryant's starting middle linebacker in all seven games this season, Andreessen currently ranks fourth nationally with 10.9 tackles per game. Andreessen is the only player in the FCS to open the year with 10+ tackles in each of the first five games and has produced double-digit stops in six of Bryant's seven games. He has 76.0 total tackles, including 48 solo tackles. Andreessen has also contributed 2.0 sacks, 10.0 TFLs, two fumble recoveries and two interceptions.
