Eckhaus, Gettman earn Big South weekly honors

CHARLOTTE - Bryant University football sophomore Zevi Eckhaus and junior Ethan Gettman earned Big South weekly honors on Monday.

Eckhaus was named the Big South Offensive Player of the Week, while Gettman earned special teams player of the week honors. The duo helped the Bulldogs earn a 43-37 victory over Campbell on Saturday.

Eckhaus completed 22-of-33 passes for 235 yards and four touchdowns on the afternoon. He tied his career-high for touchdown passes, connecting with four different seniors on Senior Day. Eckhaus now leads the Big South and ranks eighth nationally in passing yards.

Gettman picks up weekly honors after collecting 13 points in Saturday's win. He went 3-for-3 on field goals, tying his own single-game record, while also hitting four PATs. Gettman also kicked a program record 56-yard field goal and set the single-season record for field goals with 13. He has eight field goals in Bryant's last three games.
