Eckhaus and Dyson Jr. garner All-New England honors

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Bryant University football junior quarterback Zevi Eckhaus and graduate defensive end Kenny Dyson Jr. have been named to the 2023 New England Football Writers Association All-New England team.

Eckhaus and Dyson Jr. give Bryant All-New England selections in all 15 full Division I seasons. The 2023 team is comprised of 37 student-athletes from 16 FBS and FCS schools in New England.

The 2023 Big South-OVC Football Association Offensive Player of the Year, Eckhaus is one of two quarterbacks named to the team. He joins University of New Hampshire QB Max Brosmer. Eckhaus put together a career-year for the Black and Gold, throwing for 2,907 yards, 28 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. He finished the year ranked 13th nationally in completions per game (21.6), third in passing TDs (28), 11th in yards, 11th in yards per game, eighth in points responsible for (178) and third in total offense per game (296.4). 

Dyson Jr. earns All-New England honors for the second-straight year, becoming the seventh player in program history to earn multiple honors. A three-time all-conference selection, including a back-to-back first-team member, Dyson Jr. posted 36.0 tackles, 9.0 sacks and 10.5 TFLs on the season. Dyson Jr. put together three of the best defensive seasons for a Bulldog linemen in program history, averaging 8.0 sacks and over 10.0 TFLs. He finishes his career with 25.5 sacks and 35.0 career TFLs. Dyson Jr. ranked 12th nationally in sacks per game.
