Steven Daniels begins his third season as the inside linebackers coach in 2020.

Daniels has made an immediate impact on Bryant's linebackers and defense as a whole. In 2021, Joe Andreessen earned All-NEC First Team honors following a breakout season. Derrius Perryman also enjoyed success under Daniels, with the two combining for 41.0 tackles, 2.0 sacks and 9.0 TFLs. Bryant's defense led the nation in total defense and ranked fourth in scoring defense in the spring of 2021.

Bryant's linebacker corps thrived in its first season with Daniels. The Bulldogs had one earn All-NEC and two more earn Phil Steele All-NEC honors at the end of the season. Daniels watched as Jesse Nemerowicz posted 95 tackles on his way to becoming Bryant's all-time leading tackler with 315. Robert Brown had a breakout year, finishing with 108 tackles, 7.5 TFLs and three forced fumbles.

Daniels was a standout linebacker at Boston College from 2012-15, finishing with 266 career tackles. He was part of the nation’s best defense as a senior, earning All-ACC First Team honors as a linebacker. Daniels was drafted in the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins and played for the Redskins, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants. After his playing days, Daniels worked as an intern with the football program at Boston College and most recently served as a performance and assistant strength coach at Northeastern.
