Tom Sydeski begins his fourth year as a member of the Bryant football staff in 2022. Sydeski serves as the quarterbacks coach and the passing game coordinator. The fall of 2022 will mark is his first as the Director of Football Operations.

Under Sydeski's tutelage, Zevi Eckhaus enjoyed the best season for a freshman quarterback in Bryant and NEC history. Thrust into a starting role in week 2, Eckhaus thrived under Sydeski, throwing for 2,392 yards, 21 TDs and just three interceptions on his way to NEC Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. Eckahus became one of three QBs in NEC history to earn NEC Rookie of the Year honors and All-NEC First Team honors in the same season and finished fourth in the Jerry Rice Award (FCS Rookie of the Year) voting. He is the first Bulldog to ever be considered a finalist for the award. Eckhaus was also named the NEC Freshman of the Year by Phil Steele.

The Bryant offense thrived around Eckhaus as wide receivers Anthony Frederick, David Zorrilla and Landon Ruggieri all had career years. As a team, the Bulldogs averaged a league-best 30.0 ppg and finished 19th nationally in completion percentage, 13th in third down offense, 26th in first downs and top 50 in total offense.

Sydeski oversaw one of the youngest quarterback groups in the program's recent history in the spring of 2021. Ryan Clark worked his way into a starting role as a true freshman, the first true freshman to start a game since 2004.

In Sydeski's first season, Kory Curtis threw for 1,700 yards, seven touchdowns and just six interceptions. He finished the year with a 57.8 completion percentage. Curtis also set the single-game passing record with 394 yards against Brown.

Sydeski joins the Bulldogs after spending the 2018 season as the offensive quality control coach and assistant offensive line coach at Florida International. He was a part of a coaching staff that led FIU to a victory in the Makers Wanted Bahamas Bowl. Sydeski worked with an offensive line that finished third nationally in sacks allowed and fourth nationally in TFLs allowed.

His first collegiate coaching position was at Old Dominion. Sydeski was a collegiate quarterback at Stonehill, Hobart and Hartwick, and earned a degree in Business Administration from Hartwick in 2017.
